This page is for various panels I have installed or have tried out.

>>Back to my SE X1 homepage

The following links contain various panels I've collected or installed. All of these panels are readily available elsewhere on the internet, I've simply put the ones I use in one place. If it's not listed, I don't have it. A few of these came from the Sony Ericsson Fun & Games download area for the X1.

Google Panel (776kb):

GooglePanel_UK_R12_5_29082.cab

After I installed this, I edited "default.xml" and changed every reference to google.co.uk, to google.com.au to better suit my search results for Australia.

Growing Panel (1.8mb):

growing_panel.zip

This is a zip file that has two CAB's in it. 1st you must install the "ActiveX_Deployment_signed.CAB" Cabinet file, then install the "FlashPanelGrowingPanelInstall-0[1].1.15.0_signed.CAB". Read more about this nicely featured panel here >> http://xperiancer.blogspot.com/2009/03/growing-panel-more-to-it.html

Media Experience (2.9mb):

Media Experience.CAB

Media Experience is a default panel that comes pre-installed on the X1. (This panel turns on the optical mouse whether you like it or not. That annoys me).

Windows Live (1.6mb):

WindowsLiveNorge_panel_EN.cab

The Windows Live Panel gives you easy access to the Live services you know and love from your PC - Messenger, Hotmail, Search and Space - now at your fingertips!

Facebook (808kb):

FacebookPanel_X1_Updated.cab

The Facebook Panel for X1 makes it easy to stay connected and share information with your friends. Check your friends' statuses, walls and latest photos, change your own status and upload your photos taken with your X1 camera.

On the Road (2.7mb):

On-the-RoadPanel_signed.cab

Make using your X1 simpler while you're on the road. Turn your X1 into a mobile dashboard and get easy access to your phonebook, music and maps. Let the X1 record the route and get your individual trip details.

SPB Mobile Shell 3 (4.5mb):

SpbMobileShell_EN_Panel_X1.cab

Spb Mobile Shell introduces the next-generation user interface with all the advantages of a Windows Mobile device.

Xperia X1 Radio (3.1mb):

XperiaRadio_R12_28924_signed.CAB

This is the default Radio Panel that comes with the X1.

Slide Show (807kb):

SlideShow_Panel_X1.cab

The Slideshow Panel takes your camera photos and creates a non-stop slideshow experience for your standby screen.

3D Fish Panel (2.9mb):

Sony 3DFishl.cab

Mytopia (1.8mb):

MytopiaPanel_signed.cab

Play live games against your friends from Facebook, MySpace or X1 phones. Mytopia Live Games launches with 2 games: Bingo Island and Texas Hold’em Poker. Challenge the computer or join millions of players online from around the world.

Skype Panel (6.0mb):

SkypeMobileXperia.CAB

I don't use Skype, but here's the panel anyway.

Evernote (1.9mb):

Evernote.cab

I don't use this one. Remember everything! Evernote turns your mobile phone into an extension of your brain: Take notes, snap photos, draw sketches and record audio. Evernote keeps it all in sync and always available.

Gokivo (1.6mb):

Test_GokivoNavigator_B10.cab

This panel briefly appeared on the SE site and then disappeared. It's a beta search and navigation panel. (The program can also be run without selecting it as a panel. Gokivo can be found in the programs folder). Maps don't cover the entire planet yet. Most of Europe appears to be covered though.

CNN Panels:

CNN_panel_signed.cab (2568kb) This is the original CNN panel found on the Sony Ericsson site in the Fun & Downloads section. Last time I checked, it was still there.

Test_cnnpanel_B10.cab (2700kb) This panel appeared on the SE site briefly and was then pulled (like the Gokivo panel about) I haven't installed either of the CNN panels to see what they're like or what the differences are between the original and the beta.

Files from xda-developers.com The XPERIA X1 (KOVSKY) PANELS LIBRARY: All available PANELS + NEW PANEL MANAGER CAB thread :

I don't know what's new or old or what's been updated. I just grabbed them from spikedsoftware.co.uk when I could download from there. Use these files at your own risk. I offer no support or warranty or can't even say if they're fit for use. Good luck. Read the 1st two posts in the thread I linked to for more information on these files.

R2a_PanelManager.cab (727kb)

R3A-PanelManager.cab (758kb)

X1_Panel_MXP_MR2_R27_35200.cab (9.3mb) This is the NEW Xperia Media Xperience Panel, not the same as the one half way up the page.
