Timing Retard Eliminator information. Suzuki
uses different maps depending what gear the bike is in. The TRE fools
the ECU by giving it a permanent 5th or 6th gear input.
If you build your own TRE and want to make it a plug in job, buy a plug and pin kit from JSD Products.
I've not fitted a TRE to my GSXR so I can't comment on how effective it is on these bikes. So far I've been happy with the way the engine responds and behaves. The fuel injection seems to be a bit more refined than what is was on my TLS, and a TRE did make a noticeable difference on the old TL.
